Who Else Wants to Make More Customers Happily say YES!!

Dear Home-based Business Owner:
Let’s be honest. The economic predictions for 2009 are pretty dicey. All you have to do is turn on the news and it seems like everything is about the ups and downs, bailouts and stimulus packages going on. Here in Las Vegas we’ve experienced changes in our tourism and housing industry that may have impacted you or someone you know.
So, what’s a motivated, small or home-based business owner to do?
Start by turning off the news. But then what?
Truth is small businesses are better poised for success in the current economic climate than most large businesses. Why? Because you’re better able to make speedy shifts and adjustments to what you see going on with your customers and how you offer your products and services. You know what’s happening on the ground and you’re more aware of your customers’ concerns. Large businesses only wish they could be as nimble and quick to respond as you can.
However, if you have challenges and concerns when it comes to marketing and selling in your business – 2009 will probably be a pretty tough year for you and your business. Marketing is how you draw customers in to pay attention to what you offer. Sales is how you bring them from being interested in you to the point of happily saying “yes.” That’s when they are willing to exchange their hard-earned money for what you offer.
That’s what business is all about, right?
I’m a marketing mentor and over the last seven and a half years I’ve mentored over 1,400 small and home-based business owners. It breaks my heart when I talk with business owners who aren’t making the money they deserve. You may be good at what you do – but if you don’t know how to get people to happily say “yes” you have less of a business and more of an expensive hobby.
And, Expensive Hobbies Aren’t Very Helpful When it Comes to Paying Your Bills
These are the people I help. It’s the work I love and there’s nothing that gives me a greater sense of satisfaction than helping a business owner achieve their goals – so they can live their dreams. I have discovered simple, easy-to-use, step-by-step systems that really work to easily turn around your results. That way you create enough cash flow so you can pay your bills, save, achieve your goals and live your dreams. The ones that require money, anyway.
I Bring My Experience to the Table Both the Good and the Bad
I have over two decades of marketing-related experience in advertising, copywriting, public relations, market research, strategic planning and sales. A lot of very successful experience in sales. I know how to actually put it all together and do it on a shoestring budget. I’ve helped over 1,400 home-based business owners to learn from my successes and from my mistakes – about what to do and what not to do.
I’m also the author of the business bestseller, “Testosterone-Free Marketing: The Yin and Yang of Marketing for Women” that’s sold in 14 countries. I’ve spoken at seminars nationally and throughout North America. Locally I’ve spoken at groups like the National Association of Women Business Owners, Las Vegas Women’s Real Estate Council and many more. I’m located here in Las Vegas. Have lived here in the valley over seven years now.
But life – and business – wasn’t always so good. There was a time years ago when I simply didn’t know what I didn’t know. I struggled with sales. Even though I’d listened to CDs, read books and attended seminars by so-called “experts” I felt what they had to say didn’t apply to me. Didn’t work for me. It was too pushy, too forceful and it made me feel sleazy when I was supposed to be “closing” sales. I was frustrated back then and secretly felt like a failure.
Suddenly a light went on for me. Real synergies started happening and chunks fell into place. I made some shifts in how I approached marketing, selling and my business. I also made shifts in me. Minor little shifts but when I put them together with some very simple steps without being pushy – the results were magical. Now I know, no matter what the economy does I’ll be successful. I’m not concerned about my cash flow because it’s always coming in. I do the work I love and that gives me an amazing feeling of freedom and independence.
Why Getting Customers to say “Yes” Happily is More Important than “Word of Mouth” in the Early Years of Your Business
You can attend all the networking groups you want, and there are a lot of them here in Vegas. It won’t make much of a difference in your cash flow if you don’t know what to do with leads once you get them. You can do an awesome job for the few customers you get and maybe you’ll get a little “word of mouth” business. But without understanding the basics of how to make customers say “yes” you might not be able to create enough money in your business to meet your needs and enjoy a sizeable full-time income.
Relying on “word of mouth” for all your business cash flow without pro-actively marketing and selling is like saying, “I don’t know how to do it. I’m not willing to learn how. So instead I’m going to put the success of my business in the hands of others rather than creating results myself and empowering myself.” Don’t do it. Especially not in 2009.
I believe in hope and optimism. But hope is not a plan. You have to marry hope with a smart, savvy plan for success. If you say you’re hoping “word of mouth” will grow your business, you may be faced with the prospect of having to get a job to supplement your income. And, in Las Vegas if you’re making $10-15 per hour working for someone else, that’s considered pretty good money – and its still not enough to meet most people’s needs.
I’d rather work for myself and do what I love. I don’t deal with morning commutes, office “politics” or assignments I don’t enjoy. Besides, I make a lot more money per hour for my services rather than be faced with the prospects of financial struggle or job hunting right now.
So, how do you make it as a small or home-based business owner in Las Vegas in 2009 when the days of crazy growth and expansion have slowed to a crawl? You get smart. You open up to new ideas and new ways of doing business that not only result in more money but happily are a lot more fun, too.
Are you listening?
The Catch-22 is many, many small and home-based business owners who don’t come from a background in marketing and selling in their previous career see it as an activity that’s “a necessary evil” to their business – but not something they really want to do. They know they should do it. Have to do it. But they still don’t like it very much – or they just plain don’t know what to do. So they focus on the things they like to do rather than focusing just a little bit more on learning how to create cash flow which will make a huge difference and let them be very well paid for what they love to do. They have the mistaken belief that you must do and say things a little under-handed, a little bit sneaky, a little bit pushy or manipulative to successfully sell and get business.
It’s just not true.
I’ve discovered when we are more open and when we genuinely care about people, take an interest and apply a few simple steps the result is nothing short of amazing. Even in 2009. Yes, you can defy the odds and all the dire predictions for this year and have your best year in business ever.
Just focus a little more time and attention implementing easy ways to market and sell. And a great way to do that is to take advantage of and apply what will be presented at a very special workshop happening in the valley soon called:
How to Make Customers Happily say “YES!”
In one information-packed, enlightening and fun afternoon here in Northwest Las Vegas you’ll get the fundamentals of attracting perfect customers and how to get them to happily say, “Yes!” Set aside the date on your calendar, it’s Friday, February 27th from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.
But to more clearly explain how great this workshop will be for your business I have to back up just a little bit and introduce the wonderful woman I’ll be presenting this transformational workshop with.
Stacey Hall is an amazing business owner. She’s co-author of the bestseller, “Attracting Perfect Customers: The Power of Strategic Synchronicity.” When you hear people talk about using the law of attraction, she wrote the book about how to do it in your own business. Stacey and I first met in 2000. I learned about her book before it even came out.
I was blessed to get a coveted galley copy from Stacey seven years ago before it hit the bookstore shelves. Its brilliant stuff and still highly relevant today. She lives its wisdom in her own business. I incorporate it’s discoveries into my own business and continue to be amazed at the results. It’s easy to use, too.
The gist of “Attracting Perfect Customers” is about completing four simple steps that I know will transform your business and how you relate to your customers to get better results. Today Stacey has her own successful business called “Chi-to-Be” right here in North Las Vegas. She’s in demand and she travels quite a bit.
Stacey and I are also best of friends. So, I was delighted when I was able to twist her arm a little bit before the holidays and get her to agree to co-present her four steps of how to attract perfect customers to you at this workshop along with me. You will create what she calls a “Strategic Attraction Plan” and most participants at the workshop will walk away with their own plan completed and ready to incorporate into your business to improve your own results.
But that’s not all. Once you draw in more perfect customers, the next step is getting them to happily say “Yes!” And that’s where I come in.
Over the years I’ve developed systems and easy-to-follow strategies that work for home-based business owners. They came as a result of teaching teleclasses over and over again for five years. People asked for easy, step-by-step ways of getting things done in their small and home-based businesses. They didn’t want marketing theory or concepts. They wanted results.
I always recommend my clients create a Strategic Attraction Plan as I learned it from Stacey several years ago. The next thing I recommend is that you learn my “Five Easy Questions to Help Customers Easily say “Yes!” These five questions will help you take the goals and core values of your customers and turn them into an enthusiastic “yes” over and over again. Not a pushy yes – but a happy enthusiastic one.
So, here’s what Stacey and I
are teaming up to offer you:
